night joy

For this track on night joy, we look at Psalm 145:5 and we read, Let his faithful people rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

What is this honor spoken about here? The issue we red about is being the object of God's intervention. Our being sufficiently significant that he is willing to get involved. We watch through life at people who seem to not be rescued. Taking rescue for granted, we sometimes assume he should and will intervene.

On a day out sailing, Arthur talks about he and his brother capsizing not once but twice. Much to their pleasure and shame a Harbor Control boat was heading their way for rescue, or so they thought. Speeding right by, they quickly realised there was someone in more of need than they were.

In the context of our covenant with God and knowing that he Father filters many things, like allowing problems to come into our lives, there is room to celebrate his fingerprints and the honor of the fact that we were chosen for his intervention.

Do you have any such stories of God intervening when you remarked, 'Wow that was fast!' That as we know is a beautiful thing.

In the night watches, tonight, scroll through the day for the big and little things that were off the cultural base line. What did God do to intervene? Did you call someone who is legendary for not being there and right then he was? or.. What did God do today to intervene on your behalf?

Those are points of joy from the honor of experiencing God's intervention.

prayer for night joy

I bless you adrenal and kidneys with significant healing on this night as you embrace honor, the high honor of being sought out by God and experiencing his covenant hand upon you in the big and little interventions of the day.
