Hi it's Betty! I have been outside of the traditional church for a few years. I meet with other believers a few times a week for worship, prayer, scripture etc. I also do some webcast services. I read the torah portions weekly and follow a wonderful Jewish teacher who helped transcribe the Dead Sea Scrolls and has an amazing insight into the meaning of the original biblical language and traditions.

I have been listening to Arthur's teachings for many years, and immediately purchased his Life After Church teaching when it was released.

Looking forward to being a part of this group!

thanks Betty for sharing.

I read what you wrote here a few weeks ago and have been thinking about it on and off, and has helped me to move forward in putting in place a night of worshiping Jesus.

Have not been to regular church now for quiet a few months.

Thanks so much for your response Ellen. "The Life After Church" teaching is a CD that Arthur has for sale on his site, and it is also a group that meets every few weeks on Sunday evenings as a webcast, but it will not start again until next year.

What a gift to have a Jewish bloodline in your heritage! I just love studying the Bible, I also love learning about the rich Hebrew heritage that we often miss in Christianity. I am so glad that your family was able to escape the horrors of the holocaust and come to a place where they could be safe.

That has to be so hard not to have much close fellowship in your area. How would you describe the void that you felt while you were in church? Did it change at all when you left church? If so how was it different? What do you feel would make a difference for you so that the void would start to diminish?

Do you know what your redemptive gift is?

Blessings on your journey to never give up the search for what you are looking for! May the Father of Lights shine His radiant Glory Light over you and ahead of you as you move further down the path.

Thanks for sharing your journey

Thank you for sharing your spiritual journey, Betty. Some of the things you are studying are very interesting and things I might like to try, especially since my grandfather was a practicing Jew; his parents immigrated to U.S.A. just before the holocaust.

I had become greatly disappointed in "church" locally and had taken up my own regular worship via television, devotionals, and Christian bookstore bible studies. The book you mention acquiring about life after church--you've made me quite curious so that I want to get a copy for myself.

In searching, I am trying to fill the void that church left within me and the void I even felt before I left. You give me courage to keep studying Gods Word upon my own and not give up the search for the right thing for myself.
