sapphire-connect, Issue #004 discovering a bigger view of GOD
July 15, 2015
Welcome to the sapphire-connect newsletter to help you discover a bigger view of GOD.
I had the privilege of catching up with some dear friends recently. We don't see each other all that often. In my world, friends are not a dime a dozen; they are precious. This about sums it up for me..
'A friend is someone who knows your song and sings it to you when you've forgotten it yourself.'
Now...onto the newsletter. (please discard previous one sent, some errors revealed. thanks, joan!)

The first and last of this series is for everyone and not just Germany and Austria. The last teaching, Anticipating the Counterattack, was such an eye opener for me a seasoned prayer warrior.
'Plan ahead, war is war!' Arthur tells of Israel's history after the Exodus with one angry devil on their trail. Seven aspects of demonic attacks are unfolded in this drama.
The Nature of God
Reviewing the recent South Carolina murders has us all asking, How well do we know another human being? The criminal mind can have us all perplexed as to answering that question. Who do we really know? ourselves? our spouse? our neighbor? And what about God? Why are we so shocked at how he deals with us? Do we only know of his actions, or do we know his heart?
Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you- majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?! Exodus 15:11
Follow along as Arthur unfolds the life of Jesus in a way you have not experienced before.
I was madly blessed! ~ lois
Among the Gum TreesPlease give a warm welcome to Sue, our first visitor to sit and chat with us 'among the gum trees.'

HI SUE, CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?
My full name is Sue Hinchey. I am married, have no children, and am semi-retired.
I made my adult decision to accept Christ as Saviour around the age of 17, although I feel that I have always ‘known’ God, or at least that there was one. I am one of 12 children. Dad was Catholic, Mum Church of England, They weren’t church-goers, and although they didn’t speak of it, I believe they had a faith. I grew up in the country, on a dairy farm for the most it, and we were very poor. I had the opportunity for secondary schooling but most of my older siblings did not (I’m number 10).
On leaving school I had no idea what I wanted to do, so I joined the Air Force, married at a very young age (19) which lasted 3 years. I spent the next 10 years a total mixed up emotional mess. I left the Air Force, rarely stayed in a job longer than 9 months, was very promiscuous, drank heavily, and had no idea about the basic things in life – how to make friends – living on the farm was very isolating; having boundaries and saying no; decision making; honesty, integrity, and loyalty weren’t in my vocabulary, and consequently I was treated badly by most people because I let them.
Around the time I met my now-husband, I’d discovered remedial massage therapy, which I loved doing, and was so happy that I’d finally found something that I was good at. It was something that I could do and it validated me. I worked extremely hard well into my 40’s and had a couple of physical breakdowns chronic fatigue, pinched nerves, disc bulges, because I just couldn’t say ‘no’ to anyone. And I didn’t like to ask for help.
Perhaps because there were so many of us, you couldn’t be needy or weak because there were too many others to look after, and there was no time to play or find what you were interested in. From a very early age we all had jobs to do. Mum and Dad did their best I’m sure, but the residual things for me were abandonment, rejection, having no voice, not being noticed, not being valued.
The last 10 years has been a rollercoaster of emotions, trying to get help, trying to get healed physically and emotionally. Trying to find out who I am, and not who people needed me to be – that is what I have been good at – meeting other people’s needs. So currently I’m trying to unravel all that, and be who God created me to be – what is in that soul and spirit that He downloaded when I was born. What makes me happy? What do I find fun? If I was a child again what would my play look like?
Now, my major passion is gardening. I need a lot of space and quiet time to myself so pottering about planting vegies, building compost heaps, even just contemplatively tilling the soil brings me peace. I love to feed the soil, give back to the earth to replenish all that we have taken from it.
Three words to describe me? empathetic, long-suffering, faith-full (as in full of faith)
HOW DID YOU INITIALLY CONNECT WITH SLG?
A close friend gave me the book Blessing your Spirit about 5 years ago. Initially it didn’t land, but about a year later, as you do, cleaning out a drawer, you pick up a book again, and BAM!! Arthur’s teachings rang so many bells. Over the following couple of years I devoured as much of his slant on things as I could afford/get my hands on, and it has been such a blessing in making me feel ‘normal’ rather than feeling like an odd-ball. His teaching woke up the little voice inside of me and showed me it was safe to come outside.
DO YOU KNOW YOU’RE REDEMPTIVE GIFT AND IF SO CAN YOU GIVE US A GLIMPSE OF HOW THAT PLAYS OUT ON ANY GIVEN DAY?
mmm possibly mixed up carnal Mercy, probably Servant.. but have spent so much of my life...

Prayer StrategiesPrayer Strategies to Release Blockages - is yet another excellent series by Arthur Burk.
I have learned so much from the way Arthur extracts principles from God's word and am continually crafting my own to the detriment of the enemy. Our call is to 'go and be dangerous.'
One of my favorite strategies is Jericho as told in Joshua 6. God COULD HAVE collapsed the walls of his own doing but he didn't.
There is the partnership that we see in so many interactions with God and his people that intrigues me as opposed to the miracles he does alone. I have been a recipient of both and I have been awed by both. But I love to be involved.
In Israel's case, march around the city 13 times. And God? He multiplied the power of their persistent obedience big time.
I think I'd score on that one.
So here's the prayer strategy for you. If the things you have done so far to release the resources promised you by God have not been enough, ask God to multiply the power of your simple obedience so that it knocks out every obstacle the enemy is counting on to protect him in his passive aggressive stance.

SLG CoachingSapphire Leadership Group is a think tank located in Anaheim, California. The head thoughty one is Arthur Burk. Depending on the hour, he can be profound or provoking, iconoclastic or embracing, humorous or pedantic.
SLG is designed to empower those who are in the trenches with dirt under their fingernails, doing the work of the Kingdom. We embrace a great number of streams of the faith – our key criteria is that people are focused on rebuilding what the enemy has broken.
This blog is a tool to share ideas coming out of our lab and to coach those who are walking with someone on their journey. If you have someone you are walking with and would like coaching in the context of this forum, send me an e-mail at

It seems based on some data received, that personally, and I think SLG as a tribe, has got bitten badly with this Egyptian neurotoxin about five months ago. I would appreciate vigorous warfare prayer from all of you that God would bring the power of the resurrection and the visitation of the Holy Spirit to bear on me and on the company and the tribe, so that life, as God envisioned it for us, would be brought up to His desired speed again.
For those new to this tribe, the original teaching on the Egyptian heresy/curse is in the Spiritual Warfare album. We cover the three core curses: Edomite, Babylonian and Egyptian which are a perversion of the Trinity. Also the teaching, Your Health and the Redemptive Gifts gives you an understanding of the fractal approach to seeing what the devil is doing in our bodies. Life, Dominion and Honor will give you more insight into how the demonic perverts the fractal of three, which involves the Egyptian curse bumping up against the work of the Holy Spirit.
The first prayer strategy for the Egyptian neurotoxin has been posted. The plan is to keep up a running fire of warfare prayers with a wide variety of Scripture verses. Join the blog if you’d like to be notified each time there is a new strategy since I plan to crank them out.
