sapphire-connect newsletter

Greetings,

WELCOME to June's sapphire-connect newsletter to help you discover a bigger view of GOD.

This was a month of fabulous fun with family birthday celebrations, including my own. It was also the beginning of winter here in Sydney. Although the weather is not the striking cold I am used to, it is still a far cry from the summer feel I had growing up.

Changes will come whether we are ready for them or not. Going with the flow is a learned skill and I am leaning into it more and more.

Wherever you are on your journey, I bless you with the right tools and resources you need to lean into the next season with ease and not the heavy lifting we are so used to.

now, on to the newsletter

Mercy Season Leadership

Here is the newest release, Mercy Season Leadership.

Vision abounds. Some is selfish; some is noble. Some is narrow – making money; some is noble – changing the world.

In the way of all great vision is the existing culture. The existing culture is not necessarily wrong or bad. It just exists. And IF the existing culture could have achieved the vision in question, it would have done so already.

Therefore, by definition, if the leader intends to do something new, he will have to develop a culture that supports the vision.

This album is about that process. We start with the reality of the existing culture and explore the specific steps needed to discover the needed culture and then to develop it over time, so that the culture naturally supports the vision instead of subtly warring against it.

In addition to this set of tools, we bring the unique spiritual dynamics of the Mercy Season into the discussion, showing where the grace of God is flowing so the life of God can enrich the culture you have built.

This album will give you the tools to design from scratch the kind of culture YOUR community will need to be able to achieve YOUR calling. This is not a standardized template, but a living model which can be built out for any kind of calling.

this album will soon be available in the Australian office.

Among the Gum Trees

Please give a warm welcome to Maria, a special visitor to sit and chat with us 'among the gum trees'.

HI MARIA, HOW DID YOU INITIALLY CONNECT WITH SLG?

I learned about SLG because of Arthur's teachings on redemptive gifts. A program I was in recommended digging into his teachings for more in depth understanding of our identities. I'm so very glad I did.

DO YOU KNOW YOUR REDEMPTIVE GIFT AND IF SO CAN YOU GIVE US A GLIMPSE OF HOW THAT PLAYS OUT ON ANY GIVEN DAY?

I'm Servant/Mercy. For a long time I thought was Teacher because I work in the field of education, but I had a wonderful encounter where Jesus showed me who I truly was. Since embracing that, I see exactly how it has played into everything about me and how I function.

When I teach, I don't do it because I love learning (although there is a part of me that does), I do it because I love creating that space for the learner to flourish, come alive, and come into who they are.

CHOOSE A TEACHING THAT HAS MADE AN  IMPACT IN YOUR LIFE AND TELL US HOW?

Joy Unstoppable. Hands down my favorite teaching. I've listened to it several times over and I get new understanding all the time. I think what made it so impactful for me is twofold. One, learning that there were righteous and unrighteous heads shifted my understanding and my strategy in a huge way. and two, I have a special love for all things water-related, especially cleansing water.

Leviathan being a sea creature, this understanding has opened up doors in my design that I didn't know where there.
